Apollo 12 was launched on 14 Nov 1969 and was only the second US manned lunar landing mission. Bean both walked on the moon, collecting samples, taking pictures, investigating the Surveyor III spacecraft & setting up the Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP).
